I know a lot of webmasters that stick strictly to per signup program only. I push both pps and revshare equally. If you only push pps what is the reasoning behind it and what would it take to get you to switch to revshare?

Mine's real simple ... I never achieved the traffic volume to make the switch worth my while.

I like a mix. Some programs I pick PPS because I want the quick cash. Other programs I want to build a long term revenue stream.

I like diversity.

depends on the sponsor................ some of their revshare proggies do miles better than their pps and vice versa - just test them out over a period and go with best rpc.

When I was doing traffic regularly I had a sizeable majority in PPS but had some rev share to be sure. The VAST majority of webmasters should have rev share (I would suggest 20-25% of their traffic) because they aren't big enough to where if they had a catastrophic event with their hosting, etc or whatever that just fucked their traffic that they would have the resources to financially survive without a hitch. Having that back-up is a nice thing to have.

The biggest problem revshares have is overcoming the simple economic concept of the time value of money. Getting that $35 up front allows them to build and expand quicker that getting that money over time. As with all investing though it's good to have a mix and convincing people for your program to be a part of that mix is a challenge.

You got a unique product and recurring might do... but, if its the same cookie cutter as the rest, then PPS will win 90% of the time. The average recurring income of $16-24 have to beat PPS of $25+... only way is via better conversions or if you got something that is only at your site/program.

But bottomline recurring programs should not try to compete on the payout with PPS, since its an uphill struggle, instead focus on something that will set you apart from the rest :-)

Frankly I always go for PPS.

Firstly , the only reason I would offer a rev share if I was a paysite owner and confident that the recurs would be great is if I was undercapitalised.

Therefore I don't want to send traffic to someone that is undercapitalised.

Secondly and by far the most importantly.I do not want to rely on the ability of the affiliate program to run a business properly or to maintain processing.

I'll take my money now thanks :)

Why should I trust the affiliate programs
