I have not been able to control my emotions last night or this morning, going off and on between tears and anger.
This was posted on my Navy alumni board last night:
Just wanted to let everyone know that Jack has cancer of the brain. The doctors have given him 2-6 weeks to live. We are trying to contact XXXXX and XXXXXX. If anyone has phone numbers or email address's, please contact us at XXXXXXXXXX. Thank you

Jack was my boss when I was stationed in cali working in the post analysis department. He was one of the few that I looked up to and said "that's the way I want to be when I'm in charge".
At the time I was like 22 years old and really did not realize that Jack was at the most only about 5 or 6 years older than me.
When things suck, but you can do something about it, it is bad enough.
But when things suck and you are totally helpless to do a damn thing about them it is so much worse :(
