Capote

Phillip Seymour Hoffman plays Truman Capote. Looks to be a good film from Sony Classics.

Venom

http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/venom.html

Looks like it could be an ok horror flick. Usually horror films either are pretty good or pretty bad. Has potential to be good.

The Ice Harvest

http://www.apple.com/trailers/focus_features/the_ice_harvest.html

Dramedy with a stellar cast that includes John Cusak, Billy Bob Thornton, Randy Quaid, and Oliver Platt. Looks like it could be an interesting flick.

Good Night and Good Luck

http://www.apple.com/trailers/warner_independent_pictures/goodnightandgoodluck.html

If I'm not mistaken George Clooney put up his own money to make this film about a group of people that stood up to Senator McCarthy when he was trying to "root out" communism here in the states. Stellar cast which include Clooney, Robert GDowney jr, and Jeff Daniels. It's also shot in black and white. Looks quite good.

The Squid and the Whale

Damedy that was a winner at sundance about a family dealing with the parents divore. Jeff Daniels and Laura Linney star. Sundance wining films are often quite good but don't get enough mainstream recognition.

Just Friends

http://www.apple.com/trailers/newline/just_friends/lg.html

Looks like it could be an ok comedy about the "just friends" aspect of wanting someone who sees you as justa friend. They went in a different direction than I might have in how they approached it, but it still could be ok.

Casanova

http://www.apple.com/trailers/touchstone/casanova/large.html

Good movie to take your significant other to. Story of how a woman steals the heart of the "worlds greatest lover" and gets him to settle down. Looks to have some good drama, asome action, as well as some good comedy. Great cast with Heath Ledger, Jeremy Irons, and Oliver Platt.

The Family Stone

http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/the_family_stone/trailerapplelarge.html

A son brings his girlfriend to meet the family comedy with an awesome cast that includes Craig T. Nelson, Claire Danes, Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Dermot Mulroney, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Luke Wilson.

Shopgirl

http://www.apple.com/trailers/touchstone/shopgirl/trailer_large.html

Steve Martin adapts a novella he wrote to the big screen. Looks to be a good date/significant other movie to go to. Can't go wrong with Steve Martin in my book.

Thanks, TE. They all sound great. I am a "wait for the DVD to come out" person, though. :)

I hope "Venom" is a "BFS movie"! (Big Fucking Snake) I *love* those.
