Ok. For thr guys who have worn suits during their time working or whatever the case it was for wearing one. What is the highest price you have ever paid for a suit?
The only time I've ever worn a suit was for my wedding, it cost me £600 ($1000US).
I don't even wear fancy pants, jeans all the way for me.

When I worked in the casino business I bought a number of suits at a range from $200 to $600. I had 5-6 suits generally.

GBP 3000 - 5000 from Gieves and Hawkes. ( Quite ridiculous price really...)
I have a couple of them but they seem to have shrunk ;-)))
Funnily enough I got a call from Harry Rosen to tell me the guy from Canali is in town for made to measure suits was gonna pop down and see them on Saturday.

I'm very much a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. LOL
I did enjoy wearing suits though when I worked in the casino business. What I really enjoyed though was buying ties. My favorites were a line of ties with endangered species and other animals on them.
I also amost never wore dress shoes as I wore expensive cowboy boots with my suits more often than not.

Very nice. I never had one custom made but was always thinking about doing it.

Last time I needed a suit for work was when I worked at a jewelers. Every job since then has only required jeans -- typesetting, typographer, desktop publishing -- or pajamas -- internet. :)
Only time I need a suit is for a funeral or a wedding these days.

I go to so few of either it's cheaper for me to rent a suit for the day, that's if I give enough of a shit to go. :)

Bullshit!!!
You were always well dressed and groomed here!!!
Mind you against the rest of us ....probably wasn't hard.
I still think the rule "you can wear anything to the office that would allow you onto any golf course" , was a good one.
Thank fuck no offices now because I know Newton would be wearing fucking Rupert trousers and protesting "Acceptable golf attire"
LOL

I only ever wore the shirt with "BAS7ARD" written across the front once, once was enough though. :(
It was indeed a good rule, because the office was pretty much treated as a golf course. ;)
