Hey there.

Just wanted to say re-hi and introduce myself.
I was a member here previously but I suspect it was under different ownership, or I'm just getting old and can't remember my password.
Anyway, I'd like to say hello to the regulars.
I'm scouting around for new post playing grounds and here I am.

I have no board credentials besides surviving some Serge board torture back in '98 I think, and I lived to tell about it. :)

Anyways, hello, and have a good weekend all.

Thanks all.

Doing fine thank you Serge :) These days I work the search engines - have been doing that for several years now. Picked up a metatag trick or two along the way ;)
Search engine placements are very volatile as you expect, especially when it's cloaky stuff, but we seem to be fooling the robots still. In good periods we invest the profits in typein domains to have regular income to rely on when the engines are cruel to us.
That plan has worked for a few years now, so I'm sticking to it! :)
Personally, I moved to Barcelona Spain last year and I love it here. Awesome city with awesome people.

So once again Serge you seem to be right, it did make me stronger ;)

Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out
Welcome Back to that same old place that you laughed about

Well, the names have all changed since you hung around
But those dreams have remained and they've turned around

'Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (who'd have thought they'd lead ya)

'Back here where we need ya (back here where we need ya)

Yeah, we tease him a lot cause weve got him on the spot

Welcome back, Welcome back, Welcome Back
Welcome back, Welcome back, Welcome Back

Your nick looks familiar to me, too.

And believe me, surviving "Serge board torture back in '98" is all the board creds you'll ever need! :okthumb:

Welcome back! :)

Nice pics :) Did you enjoy Barcelona?

About winetalk.com. The most important ingredient is incoming links - and lots of them. But that's probably no surprise.
The main 'problem' with winetalk.com is the lack of content besides the message board.

Do a search on google for site:winetalk.com and you'll see all pages indexed are from the message board, but none have any title keywords or shown text.

I'm not an expert on message boards but it's been stated that they are not google's favourite.

My suggestion for winetalk.com is besides incoming links to get more articles on the site (content - html pages).
Write, or get someone to write articles. And let other sites copy your articles in exchange for a link back to winetalk.com

It could also be simple things. Where you copy interesting threads from your message board into a static html page and point wellplaced links to it. Text is good. Very good. You can't have too much.

Get it listed on dmoz and other wine related directories.

That's a start :)
