Just Watched The Local News...

And Rita's path has been moved a bit more towards Louisiana(of course, it's already going to hit part of Louisiana)... The Gov. said that much of Louisiana will get hurricane force winds, some tropical storm force winds(which is what is suppose to be hitting us) and she said that a direct hit for Louisiana is looking like more of a possibility.

This thing is so big that no matter where it hits it's going to effect both Texas and Louisiana... But it's moving in a way right now where there is the possibility that it might get a little worse for us than we think, so, I will probably be glued tot he weather channel for most of the day so I can see what this thing is going to do...

And, I will also be going to get more candles and food and stuff in case we loose power again.

To all those out there that may also be effected by Rita, I wish you the best!

I went through Andrew too. I've lived in Louisiana my whole life and have been through several hurricanes, so I understand the potential dangers ahead, thank you for your well wishes ;)

I was trying to see what this thing was going to do before deciding whether or not to leave, but, after being on the Interstate today, I feel that it may already be too late to try to go.

I just got home from the store and it was raining so bad that you couldn't even see what was in front of your own car at some points(and it isn't even really here yet...)

So, rather than take the chance of getting stuck out there on the Interstate, I think it would be safer to just try to stay here.

ok, we have 40 mph sustained at this point, no rain to speak of yet, but that's coming. We're expected to get 5" of rain between today and tomorrow
