why do i only see the link to the smily when dravyk posts?

why is it so difficult to post images? you have to find something, download it, cut it down to a measly 35Kb and then upload it again. makes me never want to be funny again with photoshop.

In User Control Panel (User CP) / Edit Options / Thread Display Options you can turn on Show Sigs, Show Avatars and Show Images.

On that same area / page at the bottom is Miscellaneous Options, Message Editor Interface. Toggle that to enhanced to use all emoticons in your posting.

Again, not sure if that's what you asked for, or if that answered those questions or not, but hopefully did.

Now I think I do understand the second question. I notice you like to use the Attachement function for pics. Nothing wrong with that, but I find that adding a photo is easiest by being in the advanced editor when posting and clicking on the Image Icon (looks like a box with a mountain and a stamp on it) and then pasting in the URL of the image I want to use.
