View Full Version : Last Weekend In Vegas...

I had a great time, spending a 4 day weekend with my family. We got to celebrate my twin's 11th birthday, and I popped *The* question to my girl of 3 years plus.

She said, yes, which was expected. :)

I asked soon as we got to the Venetian, and as some of you know the layout, I'll just give you a brief rundown on what happened.

We walk in, and it's pretty quiet for a thursday night. There's a fountain as you walk in, that makes the entry goregous. I ask my sister to take a picture of Kris and myself, which we planned ahead of time for her to film. She starts filming, and I drop down to one knee. Now, my back has been acting up, which means I have no strength whatsover in either leg due to nerve impingement. So when I say, I dropped, I did like a rock.

As we are leaning up along the lip of the fountain, Kristen drops down with me. I'm like can you please stay up? She says, no, because she thinks I"m going to throw her into the fountain, laughing the whole time. (Side note - I used to do stupid things like this at Jon's house, but have since stopped such pranks). After attempts at dropping down to one knee, I finally tell her I'm trying to propose, and stop following me down.

I can't say it was the greatest proposal, but it is one that I will remember for the rest of my life. It's all recorded, but my sister used a shitty camera, didn't come out too good. Oh well. :)

After we got checked in, to my surprise we get a knock on the door. Two porters come in with some Dom, a fruit basket, and a some yummy chocalate! With best wishes from Nickatilynx and Technick! :) Thankfully she said yes, so we drank the Bubbly, rather her saying no, and having to hit her with the bottle!

Weekend wasn't long enough, wish it was. Now I can look forward to a long engagment, before worrying about planning for the big day.

Wanted to share it with you all. :)

She loved the ring. :)

Congratulations, Anthony! :)

Proposals should go exactly like that, with laughter and joy. I'm so glad your family was there to see it.

Enjoy being engaged...before the total nervous breakdown that weddings entail.

No grovelling. I had to use hard closing techniques.

"Look, it's a yes or no question."
