......Lexi!!!! CONGRATS LEXI!! YOU ARE THE PICK MASTER THIS WEEK!!!!
http://www.natnetpickem.com/standings.php?quiz_id=3
We have not confirmed yet her ability to attend the event this weekend, but as soon as we talk to her we will let everyone know. If she can't attend, we will issue a "consolation" prize and then give the next person in the list a chance to attend.
The game was fun, even though it was a TON tougher to score than I thought it would be...but it was worth it. I am already thinking about future games and some fun we could have involving some industry questions instead of sports questions. Give me some time and I will come up with something cool, never fear :)
Now, for the fine print:
Considering this was the first time anyone has ever done the "prop bet" type questions there were a few things that we had to alter in the contest due to situations that we did not account for.....For purposes of full disclosure I will explain the situation and the resolution to each.....
Question #10: Who will score the fewest combined points?
The combination of Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates scored 29 points, however so did the combination of the Cleveland Browns and Indians. To that end, either answer will be counted as a correct answer.
Question #26: Which game will have the most points scored?
C: Tulane @ Southern Miss ---> This game was postponed due to Hurricane Katrina and will not be played until the weekend of Thanksgiving. For this reason, we have deleted this question completely from the contest.
Question #27: Who will allow the fewest points?
Both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Falcons allowed 17 points in their respective games and were tied for the fewest. To that end, either answer will be counted as a correct answer.
Question #29: Which team will hit the most Home Runs?
Both the Chicago White Sox and the Texas Rangers hit 9 Home Runs during their games this weekend and tied for the top spot. To that end, either answer will be counted as a correct answer.
Question #30: Who will win the Deutsche Bank Championship?
This was simply a mistake on my part. I was unaware that this tournament concluded on Monday, Labor Day, as opposed to Sunday, like most tournaments. Since the contest specifically stated that the contest would end on Sunday to allow the most time for the winner to prepare for a trip to Atlanta this weekend, we have deleted this question completely from the contest.
Congrats, again, Lexi....and be looking for a new contest to come in the coming weeks!!
