Well from what is left of New Orleans.
Just had the best night of sleep I have had in DAYS !!
I want to Thank directnic.com for putting me up in a room with AC and for giving me a coke WITH ice !!
I am looking out the window and I dont want to go back out I am burnt out I need a break and I do not see one in sight, I have been going about 20 - 22 hours a day and I just took off for 8 hours and its not enough.
Just wanted to say hey and hope to talk to yall later.

They are shooting at the helicopters that are evacuating the Superdome. You got some locals down there putting on quite the show for the rest of the world.
Mr. Smiling Snickers bars, asscrack man beating on an office door with a pipe and the human Nike tree. Dont forget the looting of a Mens wear store too... Im quite certain there wasnt any food in there! And last night the renegade buses....
It still doesnt detract from the fact that there are people there DYING or dead not to mention the fact of people like yourself that are putting your ass on the line risking a beat down or disease to do whats humane and right.
I know your situation there with the Police Department and all I can say is you have shown more humanity in the past few days than I would think possible.
Theres a ton of us standing by as you can see with the blog hits, benefits etc angst ridden wanting to do something... anything to help. Ive done all I can here with the Red Cross and I urge otehrs to do the same.
I trust when the time comes you will let us know when we can do more.
Keep your head down and stay safe.

Glad to hear you and the mrs / baby are doing ok.
man I was just saying last night that You and the other brave souls who stuck it out down there are the true hero's. To deal with a disaster of that magnitude is beyond belief.
When you get settled in Fl or wherever, please let me know. A nice "care pkg" for you and the mrs will be on it's way.

Billy, Buff, Sig, Donnie... you guys PLEASE take care. When it comes right down to it, it's just equipment, man. There's enough money to replace it. Can't replace you guys. This ain't the Alamo and those looters aren't the Mexicans... please let it go if it comes down to it. No heroics.
Is there some way we can do anything for you? Anything? Whatever you need, with the money in the wallets on this board, I bet a way could be found to get it done, even if it takes renting a private helicopter and dropping stuff on your freaking roof.

Took the day off -- well, sorta "working" off day -- away from the computer and what a wonderful surprise to come back on and see Billy posting!!! You have so many friends out here pulling for you and concerned, you have no idea. Well, ok, you actually do. :)
Can't add anything more eloquently then those already stated -- I think Gonzo hit it on the head the best, actually. Stay safe, stay well. You and the DirectNIC guys. We applaud the jobs you're all doing. That said -- when you can, "get outta Dodge!"
