When I give to charity it almost always is local.

I rarely give as it all gets eaten by adminisitration charges and very little goes to the actual place where it is needed. I think my great Aunt gave £120,000 last year and a ton of that got eaten by admin .. I only give to bag ladies now.

When I wanna give money to crazy people, I head to the local strip club!!

They always feel better when they "earn" it!

I don't even need to look

Begging hands and bleeding hearts can only cry out for more

Charity begins at home, spend the money on your children or family, it's a much better investment

I agree with MikeAI, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is crying

How about this, instead of giving to so called charities we end welfare in the USA today? How about letting me keep more of MY $$$$$$

I give to a lot of different charities - usually those that have touched my family in some way (yes, OK, I'm a selfish giver ;) ). And I always give to Shriner's and the Fireman's boots. And some local ones, but that's about it :(

Local chariteis are nice.

My 2 favorite are Childrens Hospital Cancer Center in NO, and http://www.marine-scholars.org/

http://www.charitynavigator.org this is a great resource to track how effective charities are. Unfortunately there are a lot of scams out there.

End Welfare!!!!

Get the mooches out of the governments pockets

End Welfare!!!!

How anyone can beg for money and not work in beyond me

Anyone getting a welfare check I should be able to walk up to and order them to wash my vehicle, shine my shoes or any menial task

I don't give for things that I would consider "Welfare". IMO I don't think our taxes should go to fund every bit of medical research so I donate to a couple of medical resources (breast cancer, athritis). I don't think the government should take care of everyone else's kids, so I donate to foster programs and Boys Town. I donate to Compassionate Friends, and most importantly, the local pug rescue group ;)

Until I pay off half a mil in debt I'll be contributing to my favorite charity only. ME.

I give something more important to my charities of choice: my time. It's much more valuable than just writing a check.
