Ok, I like the new look of board tracker and I am sure thats old news around these parts. I also love the fact that in order to actually READ what the content of the threads are in my inbox i have to view images..... very slick way to make sure i see the adds *Bravo*
However, the one feature i liked about BT as a potential advertiser was the board ranking. I could go to a page and see what the top 20 adult boards were 9even had adorable little buttons beside them) and i knew what the ranking was for just about every industry board out there.
Did they do away with the freaking useful feature ( a bill gates type of move) or what? I searched forever on their newly designed site and cannot find it. oh sure I can find bunch of boards listed for whatever, but how about a simple nice rundown of how the boards are matching up overall.... if this exists can someone point me in the right direction? Because I am lost
Thanks

boardtracker is now completely mainstream and lists ALL the boards they can find to list, not just adult anymore....they took away the boards list cause it would be huge i guess, no clue really

Yeah, I saw that it seemed to have a lot of mainstream boards... thats cool, expand expand expand..... but they went to a lot of trouble to make the categories, why not rank the boards for each category?
I am sur[rised no one from board tracker came over here to answer this... didnt their board tracker go off??

hahahaha :okthumb:

It's been a while since I've used boardtracker as I've found that now www.boardscanner.com (http://www.boardscanner.com/) cover Oprano, they're better by far.

it really isn't cool actually, and if any self respecting board owner is reading this HINT HINT, you might want to think about asking that your board be removed ASAP.....boardtracker is now a surfer service and no longer exclusive to the adult internet community...so, anyone can set alerts for paris hilton and big boobs and get oprano results

Personally I don't use BT.

I read very few boards.

And if something is happening on another board that concerns me or may interest me , someone brings it to my attention

I spoke with Ron at Internext. The version up there is still in beta testing, so there are some bugs and the stats will be back.

I confess that I am not as thrilled with this newer version....

They would only get alerts then if they subscribed to the 'adult webmaster' category or subscribed to ALL categories and disabled the 'safe filter'.

Surfers in general will not see adult threads anywhere unless they disable the safe filter (which is enabled by default) or they specifically select the adult webmaster category.

The board ranks will be back soon and they will be separated by category so don't worry! ;)

Do you have an ETA when your adding Oprano back in as well?

well, here is the thing though....

but, first let me say thanks for thinking of the adult world as you make your transistion to mainstream....

i know with google, the first thing I do it check "do not filter results"....so, if someone signs up to boardtracker and first thing they do is uncheck the safe filter...will they start getting adult webmaster thread results?

can you set it so they HAVE to check something that specifies them as being an "adult webmaster" before they will EVER see an adult webmaster thread? because if I saw your site and signed up, the first thing I would do is just make sure I didn't get filters results...just a thought

and oh yeah...are you planning on adding edmplanet.com in there, or is it already?

excellent news! I hope you include that information in the alerts when it comes about so I can set it up to be able to see those ranks/stats... it's important to me. Thanks also for adding Oprano back :D

They will be back *soon* but not quite yet.. ;)

As for the surfer/webmaster issue, we will continue looking at ways to ensure the system delivers the most relevant traffic to boards and the best results to users.. the system is in beta and there are lots of cool new features on the way and existing features to modify based on user feedback/performance etc.

edmplanet.com will be added soon also. If anyone knows of other large boards also let us know..

Regardin this issue... The situation with BoardTracker is the same
New accounts do not get alerts on adult threads unless they switch off the safe-filter. ONce they do that, they can search the adult category and get alerts on those threads.

yeah, but the issue is more your responsibility of keeping surfers out of our adult webmaster world, and I may have missed your answer, but it almost sounds like you all are making it your issue really...as long as the surfer unchecks the safe filter option, they can get keyword results for oprano and come on here asking for free porn

if this is the case, i see a lot of webmaster forums asking you to remove them pretty quickly

Hey, if theres enough of them I can see a marketing oppurtunity... maybe a whole new source of traffic. I wonder if Board tracker will start selling hits :)
