It's preseason so don't get too excited
That being said the Chargers do have a shot at the playoffs

That's true I guess, it's all the quaters and time outs that get me - the game seems to just get going then it's stopped for a break

It does seem to take a really long time for the action to start sometimes
30 seconds of gametime and 3 minutes of huddles and commercials

Let me guess - Hockey is a better game all together ;) :yowsa:

Good point, once soccer kicks off it's a matter of holding it for 45 minutes.

When my husband I got married we were stunned with how little we had in common. It was pretty funny, actually. We were smart enough to know that you never turn anything into a "power trip," so we found *different* things to do. Neither of us watched football, so we decided we'd learn together. He bought me a book. I studied it and discovered how much fun something is to watch when you actually know what is occuring and why. Now, 26 years later, I'm the rabid football fan and he's the one who turns to me and says "what just happened?" *I'm* the one who waves a hand and says "I'll tell you at half time."
We knew a guy once who used to be a center for the 49ers. At a party, he was chattering about football, looking at my husband...paused...then turned to me and said "you'll understand this..." and kept on talking. I list it as one of the high points of my life. :D
