No sweetheart, sometimes bad things happen to good people. Just know that you are loved.

Thank you. :inlove:

Things still make you reexamine everything you've ever done though.

I look to it for the positive side. I wish no harm on anyone, even if they had wronged me. The concept of Karma suggests that you don't need to wish ill on someone who has wronged you. It will happen.

I'm so good to all that I've got Karma to burn. I plan on keeping a very hefty reserve of Karma on tap.

"Every mindful of the 'Rule of Three'"

Whatever you do comes back to you threefold. If you do good, it comes back three times. If you do ill...watch out.

Philosophies differ as to *when* the Karma returns...some say in this incarnation; some say in the next.

Some would say that this thread does no harm to the person under discussion. I, personally, would not like to think that my actions caused such a large group of people to discuss me like this.

Oddly, he gave me a gift. He screamed at me once via telephone for half an hour. It was absolutely brutal. It was a time in my life, a very bad time long gone, where I had to just sit and take it. I needed the damned job and couldn't tell him to go fuck himself. That phone call taught me what it was like to be a man supporting a family. No matter what your supervisor says or does to you, you have to take it. You don't have any choice. I learned what my husband's life had always been like. It's a good lesson for a woman to learn.

Please don't misunderstand. I'm not defending the bastard. This is more of a comment on Karma, both my husband's and my own. We both must have done something good for that to have happened to me. I understand my husband better and he's married to a woman who knows what a man has to take to support his family.

Karma is fun thing when you watch it in action.

I some times wonder if Kharma works both ways as it should.

Love it when some bastard gets their "just desserts"!

That said, like many of us, I have some good Kharma supposedly floating out there, that's waaaaay overdue coming back home.

Are you sure?

Take a good, long look at your life and decide if you like what you see.

If you do...your Karma has come home. :)

Good Karma isn't about winning the lottery or some other huge event. It's about the small, day-to-day things that make up a life.

Eh, this could get both complicated and come off sounding whiny (by any one) the more Kharma gets explored and compared to "is life fair", which we all know it's not, it's just life.

The discussion could get even weirder still if we figure out, if we're getting Kharma now, saving it up for the next life, or living the Kharma now from the past one. So ... I think I'll forego the deep examination of it, lest we this thread become a tome. http://oprano.com/msgboard/images/smilies/smile.gif

Actually, what you said made perfect sense. (That's always rather scared me. :) )

Karma is a word that gets tossed around a lot, mostly by people who don't truly believe in it or understand it.

I do know that it doesn't announce itself when it shows up, whether it be from this life, past lives, or whatever.

Life isn't fair. Life frequently sucks for the best people. Sometimes when you look at some people's lives you're left with the feeling that the Great Whatever dropped the ball. When you look at aspects of your own life you mutter "what in the hell did I ever do to deserve this?" Well...nothing. You did nothing to *deserve* it. Shit just happens.

My faith has a tendency to teach that each incarnation is to help you learn something. Again, no white dove shows up holding a parchment to tell you what the hell that is.

I can't explain or define the "Great Whatever." I just know it isn't me.

I'm oddly comforted by that.

Yeah it just gets all weird. If Kharma isn't someone winning the lottery, but Kharma IS someone who's a bastard winning it, making more money and eventually loses it all -- well, shit, we think that's great. How is it? Isn't the scummy guy who lived it like a king for say seven years had it better than the average schmo who's still struggling? Hell yeah! So where' the Kharma?

And then there's the whole... so and so lives an improverished life, let's say currently. Is he been given that because in the last life he was a rich bastard who cared about no one, and this is his come uppance? Or is this life in preperation for the next one in which that person's Kharma will be rewarded by being born into the family of a billionaire?

Chicken and the egg ... yin and yang ... And then there's the more generally accepted "we got one life, and bang, that's it" theory .... Think about it too hard and grey matter will explode! :1eye:

A Transit van is the preferred vehicle of working pikeys.

White is especially favoured as every 2nd commercial vehicle in the UK is one and thus non descript :)

If there's a spell on you that
I could take away
I would do the deed
Yeah and by the way
Here's to Heaven knows
As the circle goes
It ain't right
You're uptight
Yeah and get off my toes

I used to think that every little thing I did was crazy
But now I think the Karma cops are comin' after you

Time
Don't let it slip away
Raise your drinkin' glass
Here's to yesterday

In Time
We're all gonna trip away
Don't piss Heaven off
We got Hell to pay
Come full circle
