He did a great job of scaring me shitless. So I said how do I get content if I can't afford to buy it? So I did what he said and posted on the private Netpond board about needing 10 pics in 10 categories in exchange for traffic ... I remember Lensman walking around the first IA2000 Internet show in Orlando, looking totally lost, and asking how to start one of those web sites.

And who can forget Joe Liberty (I know Serge can't), who sat in my living room for 4 hours with his wife, without ever saying a damn word. Talk about uncomfortable silence! The guy was using stolen Raquel Darrien (sp?) pictures for his "Lovey" site, and people bought it! He was also the guy who sent you your checks (or part of them at least) for the above-mentioned "knights" program.

I also remember when JoeE threw his first big party at the Clarion in Orlando, and didn't have enough money to cover the tab. That one was funny ;)

my only memory of MontrealI remember one Montreal -- at least I think it was Montreal, they all blur a bit -- when a bunch us were up all night and then had breakfast at dawn, still up at 6:30 in the morning. I recall the restaurant was two blocks from the hotel and across a parking lot. I seem to remember Snoops was there, and Grimm, and about six to eight others but can't recall who. Where you one of those, Slav? It's very possible.

Anyhow, I recall we were all tired as hell, sun in our eyes, having been awake 20 hours and drinking all night, coming back from the restaurant, heading to the hotel, slowly, like we all had heavy chains on our legs, and we hear music coming from the back of this place we were passing by.

Turned out to be the back of a strip joint that was actually open and rocking that time of the morning, and we were all dead and continued to slump over to the hotel to get a whopping couple hours of sleep before another day and night of hellraising ... and what happens? Grimm disappears into a strip joint!! Last we saw of him until the next day.

I also remember the hospitality suite in Montreal '99. First show I ever went to. It was about 5:30 am, and everyone had left except for Sweet T, RB, Grimm, etc... I was in the kitchen trying to get things organized when Tony called me into the living room. He nods pointing at one guy who hasn't left yet, and he is so drunk that he is literally trying to find his mouth with the bottle of beer... Every year I am always disappointed that I don't see the 'ole regulars at Cybernet. So many gone, so many with show burnout. It is hard to believe that this is our 9th year with Cybernet. Where has the time (and the people) went?
