Just signed up to pokerstars last night just for this thing... sounds great. I've been playing online for half a year now and really enjoy playing tourneys.... although I suck

1.) I enjoy qualifying its good fun and good practice.
2.) Its a hobby
3.) Yeah...I really want to start losing a few hundred a day.Fuck that!!! LOL

I am a pretty good tournament poker player. If you make a dumb mistake you can lose your stake. Ah well...

I can handle losing $10 - $20 for 3 hours of fun.

But I'd be miserable as sin if I lost like $500 in a day.

My brother suspects somewhere in the family there is a Jewish gene. ;-)))

Nick, it's a lot more fun if you actually earn it. "I got in because I'm rich" isn't something to brag about. "I got in because I'm damned good!" is something to brag about.

The one thing they always say about gambling is "never bet more than you can afford to lose." That doesn't mean just financially, either. It means psychologically. Sure, you can afford to drop $500 financially. But a few of those losses and a little voice is going to start to mutter "you wanker, what could you have given your kids with that money you're blowing?"
