Kathi with National Net has one she uses in ATL. I can't pick up Verizon where I live and I don't use the laptop enough to justify the cost while out of the house :( Sounds great though!!

I have a cable connection and the network is wireless on all of the home and home office computers. Not sure what card Im running but I can use the laptop in the backyard... never tried to go any further with it or had any need to.

The cam computers all run on DSL.

I've got the Verizon card. Speeds are around 200 to 400k. Slight lag, due to the Cell network, but other than that. Worth every penny for me.

I was a beta tester for the Nextel Wireless Broadband. Their system was much better. But I think they only did the test in the Triangle NC area. I don't know if it continued or if it's going to roll out nationally. It kicked ass. It was as fast as my cable modem.

I'd be interested in a ATT / Verizon comparison too if anybody knows. My Edge card does the job but I'd go for faster.

I paid 150.00 for the card ( they have a 100.00 rebate though)

so $50.00 for the card, then service fr unlimited usage is 80 bucks a month
( not sure if they have smaller plans or not )

as far as the ATT comparrison I do not know .

att is now cingular, and their edge card is not quite as fast, but supposedly has better area coverage.
