So, as a warm up for the winter season I play summer hockey in a mens league. Our team is garbage, we were 0-7 going into last nights game and were playing the first place team.

It was a chippy game and I was getting pissed off. I scored the opening goal, a beauty cutting in the the left wing and going shelf on the short side. We ended up getting down 5-2. I decided to take things into my own hands at that point.

On one shift I proceeded to come in down the right wing, cut to the middle and fire a backhander from the hash marks over the goalies blocker side.. shelf, right where they keep the peanut butter. on the ensuing faceoff, after some neutral zone scrum, i picked up the puck and came in down the right wing. I cut to the outside and rifled a slap-shot far-side, again exploiting the goalie high in the blocker side, at which point the other team was getting angry with me and got in my face.

Anyway, the game ended up 5-4, we are now 0-8. But, I scored a hat trick and ended my scoring drought and played by far my most intense game of the season... I cant wait for winter league!!!

Take that back wanker  ( I love British words )

I'll give you baseball "rounders" for a girls game.. but never hockey. Just cause England has no real players.... geez... some people's kids :yowsa:

Soooo excited for the season this year finally... had to like ... read and stuff this year because of the lockout.

(the plus side of reading was I got to know Red and Morgan pretty well)

If you say that without your accent, I daresay you'd sound just like my husband. :)

Actually, he sounds triumphant when he says it.

You need a cup of tea, crumpet, and probably a back rub. :)
