mel...I'd never allow any son of mine to be a Boy Scout because of certain policies they have. (The Girl Scouts are totally different.) Having said that, I thought the one thing those people could do was camp. Camp and safety, safety and camp. This year they can give out troop awards for the troop with the most dead members.

I was actually thinking about a serious answer to your question, Nick. I mentally mused that for a thread to stay on top for that long it would mean that either something very bad or something very good would have had to happen.

Yeah, that's what I reckon. Maybe some kinda sick merit badge the Evil Boy Scouts in Hell are working on (under the guidance of Karl Rove).

I wouldn't let my son be a Boy Scout for the same reason. Or a Girl Scout, for that matter. (Camp Fire is almost as bad)

I know a girl who was kept going through life by the Girl Scouts. She was a camp counselor, the whole bit. She had a lousy family life and needed somewhere else to be. She's now a blissfully happy Lesbian who's lived with her girlfriend for over a year now. A lot of her adult Troop Leaders were Lesbians who couldn't have children of their own and released their maternal instincts on the girls in their care. The California Girl Scouts don't make the same gay=pervert equation that the Boy Scouts do. Everybody knew these women were gay and nobody cared. It wasn't relevent.

But I agree. Their should be a Pagan Scouts. The Magickal Properties of Stones Badge, the Magickal Properties of Herbs Badge, Memorizing the Sabbats and Esbats Badge...fun! :okthumb:
