This is a question to all .. How much would you pay for a room at a webmaster event, is there a limit?

you mean spend 500 a night drinking?

cause 500 a night is kind of high for just room.

i mean internext at the same hotel you are looking at 2500 for room (maybe less not sure now)

300 for show badge.

in my case 500 for plane ticket (boldy is a bit more).

i think you guys are overbudgeting.

hehe

now if you talk about spending cash (beer money) i have seen peeps blow 1 grand a night.

Personally, when I attend a show, I want to stay where the show is. I've been to cheaper hotels..and, yeah, the argument is we spend no time there...but, hell...the walk from here to there or the stupid cab ride or whatever...it's just not worth it. I am up early. I party late. I'll pay for the convenience....plus...I like 5 star hotels. I'm a spoiled Internet Annoyance Brat.

There's not really a limit for me, but I want what I pay for. It seems rooms at Harrahs are running around $300 for a night during the Vegas show. That's NOT a $300 room. I want to pay $100 for a $100 room and $500+ for a $500+ room :)

I don't care where I stay. I'll stay in a tent if it's close enough to the show to get to easily. :>))

I only drink coffee and my husband drives the car.
I don't party, I don't gamble, and wouldn't be caught dead at Cheetah's.

I'm a cheap date. :)

$500 a night too much. Years ago I paid whatever and always stayed at the host hotel. Mind you, they weren't gouging us as bad back then. Now I make my own arrangements to stay somewhere nice of course, but at a reasonable price.

nothing over $300 a night, ever....there is no reason for it

there is a nice little hotel right in front of the venetian that was stay at when we go...it is basically like stayin at the venetian, you leave this place and just walk up the escalator and you are in the venbetian again

and those that say they need to stay in the hotel the convention is at....vegas hotel are so fucking big, it is almost like you aren't stayin in the same hotel when you walk from your room to the show, so what is the difference if you have to hit a little outside on your way?

Jace, have you contacted the hotel you're talking about yet? Unless you gamble there a lot, be prepared for sticker shock. Harrahs is even charging $270-320 the nights of the show.

yup, sure did....they are at $70 a night

usually they are at $49

it ain't the most luxorious place, but it is cheap....and we spend so little time in our rooms, it doesn't make a difference...in fact there are 48 periods we don't even see our rooms

I'm spoiled - I have trouble staying anywhere that doesn't have a mini bar and 24 hour room service ;)
