No surprise, seems there are some in the industry that just need a wall to fall upon them, and are incapable of grasping subtle (and no-so-subtle) hints and nuances.

Since no one else wants to be Captain Obvious and explain things to the mentally impaired, I'll do this once and once only. Take a Ridolyn and attempt to follow along


Look --> Oprano ... Now look --> Sopranos ... See a pattern? :headwall:


So to those who think's Oprano ripped off mob bucks or thinks it's weird that "suddenly" Oprano is "acting like mobsters". Get a fucking clue!! You're only four years late getting what everyone else long figured out.

We didnt feel it was worth either of our time to explain what most everyone else knows let alone worry about the advice from the industry's first "porn pussy assgrabber".

Life is rough when you have to go thru it only able to hear about half of whats going on or sobbing about how no one understands you.

Newton and Trev have done an excellent job. The numbers certainly reflect that and the sponsors are happy. Unsolicted feedback from a number of folks have been extremely complimentary.

Maybe that insane cunt Confucy can get a job as their spokesman and pay Kevin the money she owes him.

IIRC, back when the board had a loooooong name, a request went out to find someone with a one word domain name. I can't remember who originally owned oprano.com but it wasn't registered by Michael and Serge in an attempt to make a "mobbish" board, it just happened that it was one of the domains submitted :)

I could be wrong though - it's happened ;)

I agree, Peaches. I think simply they liked The Sopranos, and why not?

And then for many years it's been said "don't mess with the family" and "do business with the family". Again, a somewhat inside "joke" and somewhat serious comment about a strong loyalty to the community of posters here.

To me, it seems a nature between this and the days of the, ahem, "Vancouver-Aussie Porn Mafia" jokes of years past for this Oprano to have a little bit of fun with a "mob" theme, to poke fun at themselves in many ways.

Oddly though, I see Oprano being criticisized for having a little fun and playing it up for laughs. What makes it even more annoying is this is all the while elsewhere there's board talk of "mob" and "mafia" and "players" and "playas" and "pimp-this" and "pimp-that" and "pimp-the-other-thing" ad nauseum where the morons actually do take themselves seriously -- yet get little criticisism in return.

... This industry annoys me more every damned day.
