Can someone explain how to generate traffic with domain names?

Type-in's are a harder one to crack these days IMHO, as most of the good one's have long gone but some real gems can be picked up that have expired and are just about to drop by using a service such as DirectNic's expired domains (http://www.directnic.com/features/expireddomains.php).

Search engine key word domains have gone all over the place, from teensex.com -> teen-sex.com -> teen-fuck-anal-gagging-cumshot-bondage-lesbian-sex-porn-porno.com.... search engines see the - as a separator and don't penalize for it, but then they don't penalize for not having it either. But from what I've seen there's not much point in keywords in the domain if the page doesn't fit it, so don't get a tranny domain and push lesbians and try to limit the key words in the domain to a maximum of three if you can.
