MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) - A flat tire was the first thing that went wrong for a Webbers Falls man on Friday. Maurice Masterson, 54, pulled over on the Muskogee Turnpike and was searching for a tire-changing tool when a passing tractor-trailer apparently launched a rock in his direction, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Attempting to elude the rock, Masterson jumped toward his vehicle, struck his head on the back glass and fell to the ground unconscious, the OHP reported. Masterson was admitted to Muskogee Regional Medical Center and listed in stable condition on Friday with a head injury.
