Say you send out a PR to a bunch of places, they all get published no problems but, one of the places butchers your PR to hell and back, for example, saying your copany was located 200+ miles away from where you are and editing certain brand words in the press release.

Would you resubmit to them the next time you had a PR to send out?

I’m more than surprised it was only one instance of butchering. Keep sending them but work them to make sure even after a mass butchering that your message is still in there somewhere.

It always comes down to the Editors chop though. <_<

E-mail them and ask what happened with your release and point out the errors. If you don't get a satisfactory answer back then don't bother using them anymore.

For those viewing that can't quite make out the small print, it reads: "...never did, never have, and never will."

I'd have to ask if this was free PR or something that money was thrown at... then I'd ask was it in print or online?

i would, but I would also make sure and let it known that it could not be edited...and make it known you were not happy about it being edited

what is worse is when you send out a press release with notations in various places to be edited out or left in depending on the site

for instance, i sent a press release out last week that had notes in it like

--------------leave in for webmaster news sites-------------

and/or

--------------omit for porn surfer sites--------------------

and they don't even take the time to crop those portions out and shit

and what is ever worse, is when a site makes themself out to be this huge news site, and get all critical and shit and bitch constantly....and you check your stats, and get like 5 hits a week from that press release, even when it hits the top headline (not naming any names..haha)

Just want to point out that this isnt about AVN for a change, they actually published the press release EXACTLY how i sent it to them :)
