Only Network Airing Live Poker

Showcases Top Players In $500,000 Tournament

FSN, the premier network in poker television and the first U.S. network to show poker live; Wynn Las Vegas, the crème-de-la-crème of Vegas class and extravagance; FullTiltPoker.net, one of the foremost online free poker sites. A trio of excellence each playing its part in bringing fans an unrivaled live television event as FSN televises the final table of the FULLTILTPOKER.NET CHAMPIONSHIP AT WYNN LAS VEGAS, airing live at 6:00 pm local on Wed., July 13, 2005. An encore broadcast of the show airs that night at 10:30 PM local.

Held at club La Bete, inside Wynn Las Vegas, the tournament features many of the biggest rounders in the game playing for a $500,000 cash pool and other prizes. Scheduled to appear in the tournament are 2000 World Series of Poker champion Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, WSOP bracelet winners Howard "The Professor" Lederer, Phil Ivey, John Juanda, Erik Seidel, Jennifer Harman, 2003 World Poker Tour Ladies Night winner Clonie Gowen, plus poker pros Phil Gordon, Andy Bloch and Erick Lindgren. Also, 2004 Card Player Magazine Player of the Year Daniel Negreanu joins the fray. FSN veteran announcer Barry Tompkins calls the action.

"This live event is the next generation of poker programming," said George Greenberg, FSN's Vice President of Programming and Production. "Live poker was one of our highest rated shows telecast last year and we look forward to an even bigger ratings winner this year."

FSN sets the tone for live televised poker again. This tournament is:

♠ The only live televised poker tournament in the U.S. so far this year.

♣ Only the second live televised poker event ever (FSN's American Poker Championship in 2004 was the first)

♥ The first live televised poker tournament from Las Vegas

♦ The first poker tournament at the new Wynn Las Vegas hotel and casino

And of course, with all these highlights, it wouldn't be an FSN event unless it offered the viewer more than just standard card games. Every player at the final table will be wearing a heart monitor. As they push tens of thousands of dollars into the pot, viewers will get to see if the pros are as cool and calm as they appear or if they are sitting there with stoic faces while their insides churn because they've been put full tilt.

FSN reaches more than 81 million homes through its network of 20 regional sports channels. FSN, based in Los Angeles, serves as the cable TV home to 62 of the 82 MLB, NHL and NBA teams based in the United States, and produces over 4,500 live events each year. In addition to home team games, FSN telecasts a wide variety of national sports events and programming, including Best Damn Sports Show Period and Beyond the Glory. Because you are in europe...

There is a bunch of poker over here on tv.

Let's see..

The World Poker Tour on the Travel Channel

The World Series of Poker on ESPN.

United States Poker Championship on ESPN

Poker Superstars on Fox Sports

The occasional live event like this one and a bunch of other single tourneys on Fox Sports

Celebrity Poker Showdown on Bravo

Ultimate Poker Challenge on syndication

Poker Royale on the Game Show Network

And there are several regional poker shows that air smaller tourneys as well on local stations in syndication

The world poker tour is on UKTV but it's never live, and all the big sites like partypoker and the likes have their tournies on there as well :)

Looking at the buy-ins they are pretty reasonable compared to the WPT events. Lowest i've seen over here is $5000 for a World Poker Tour event. your first event, to be held in Spain, is only 1000 Euros or $1207.93
