iBill's Done It Again!

So I get (yet another) email from iBill for some reason. Out of curiousity, I save it from the blacklisted can and open it up.

Seems this one isn't from to me as a webmaster. But me as a surfer! (Huh? No idea. They must be getting their dBs mixed up again. Bad enough, but let me go on ...)

So I see this HTML mail saying "Welcome to GSpot News". Ok, WTF? This is a processor. What is going on here?

So here is the email's explanation: "This is iBill's new newsletter, 'G Spot News' offering silly adult news, pictures, jokes, cartoons, erotic stories, etc. The newsletter is free to you as a valued iBill customer. Who knows, even your spouse or friends may enjoy it too."

Again, WTF?????

After some weird supposedly funny letter and four one-liner bad jokes it suggest I go to their site for more jokes, porn and fun:

Yes! A processor with a surfer portal! And a really bad and ugly one too. (Not ugly in the good sense, btw; bad in the newbie built a site bad.)

So we now seem to have a processor who is an affiliate!?!?! :blink: :blink: :blink:

can't be a sold list.. there are too many things that add up to an internal job here:

Coral Springs? 3 miles away from the head office of iBill (most of the employees have lived or do live there)

why would someone buy a list, just to return the customers to iBill? no sense.

My money is on an internal job. We all know the new owners are shady at best.. and that is putting it nicely.

They think that iBill still had a name? the only name that iBill has is the one that is left on the stern of the boat that is sinking to the bottom....
