we were driving in Oregon woods (http://nocomments.com/2/Oregon05), taking pictures and minding our own business. The logging roads in the woods are not marked, so we took one, despite the hand written sign "Private Road". We passed a few shacks, mobil homes, parked $60,000 car with the boat behind it, and just before we hit the dead end, we saw the car with 2 guys behind us on our tail. My wife was behind the wheel, so she maneuvered nicely and we were on our way back, 'til we saw the big truck blocking the very small road. Naturally we stopped, the car with 2 guys on our tail stopped right behind us, and the owner of the truck have emerged. My wife got out of the car and talked to the guy. I was sitting inside, the weather was a bit rainy, so I had the windows rolled up, thus I haven't heard the conversation. She says that she had to give the guy the entire family tree for 2 generations before he moved his truck, and stop percieving us as a threat. She said he smelled like he just planted a few acres of the "herb". After the guy recognised a few names of the relatives living in the area, he was rather helpful in explaining us how to get out. From now on, we'll avoid those "marked" roads, hand written signage the most. I am glad I kept my mouth shut during the entire conversation, as I doubt very much my Russian accent would help in the matters.
