View Full Version : Why are transexuals usually....
why are transexuals usually guys wanting to be woman?
i have yet to see anything anywhere about girls wanting to be guys. i mean, of course it happens. but doesn't it seem that its overwhelmingly guys wanting to be girls?
why would this be?
is it society? it think it might be... it seems that the male of our species is being vaginized. we are no longer fighting crusades and toiling in the fields all day with our ox. now we have to cry. we have to be sensitive, we have to cuddle and be understanding... then at the same time we have to be strong, make money, hunt deer, fix the fence, clean the gutters and change flat tires.
and what would the benefit be for a woman to become a man? to wear bigger boots? to get more respect at the construction site? to get stabbed in bar fights? there really isn't any benefit.
apparently many men worldwide are just giving up and switching sides. although i probably won't be joining them anytime soon... i guess i dont blame them.
i used to think this was a predominently genetic issue. now i am not so sure.
this all popped into my mind just while watching Super Troopers. i am not sure why.
where is Lee Noga when i need her?

the fact that you have this thought, and you use the word USUALLY, makes me think you might have more experience than you care to admit :)

i just happened to realize there seems to be an imbalance between girls wanting to become men and men wanting to become girls. i am not saying these thoughts do not make me gay or possibly transgendered. that will require additional some additional thought and research. :)

I think sexuality is one part sociology or socio-cultural anthropology (would explain alot of periods in human history) - and another part genetic, since this is nature´s code in our evolution. Its the play between those two that determine our sexuality.
From a genetic point of view, then we have sex to reproduce. So when we choose our sex partner, then we are looking for someone who is our best match for our genetic code. We use our senses to find our best genetic match - ex. smell says alot about ones immune system, similar facial features (reason why many couples look alike or why the different human races look different) gives an higher possibility that the genetic code from each partner will be part of the new baby. And thats just two of many genetic things our subconscious use to select our sex partner.
Now having sex from a socio-cultural point of view, then we are in very complex area... why is homosexuality more common in western cultures, then in more remote cultures? Why is polygamy accepted in some parts of the world, and not in others? etc. I´m sure that there could be made atleast two right answers for each question, because the human social side evolves much quicker than our genetic side.
I´m also sure that in less than 50 years, then we will be able to take a genetic test, and then be told which possible sexualities we have in our gens (probably going to be used when making "designer babies"). However society will still be the main "tricker" in which sexuality gens become active.
