The powerful archmage Raistlin follows the path of dark magic and even darker
ambition, as he travels back through time to the days before the Cataclysm.

At odds with your twin, Camaron, and fighting your sister who raised you, Kitiara.

It's a lonley road you travel.

Always nice to see a fellow Dragonlance fan. Raistlin Majere is my favorite charcter in the Dragonlance world followed closely by Tasslehoff Burrfoot. Damn kender makes me laugh my ass off all the time. I have nearly every single Dragonlance book put out. Currently reading the newest one that they have set up on a different continent of Krynn.

Mine has always been Sturm Brightblade.

The Oath and the Measure.

Cam as well over the years, only because he gets to live so long. :)

Sturm was an extremely honorable man. A very good character who died too early.

I really enjoyed these trilogies the best:

Legends Trilogy (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/002-9188206-7007254) : Time of the Twins, War of the Twins, and Test of the Twins

Elven Nations Trilogy (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/002-9188206-7007254): Firstborn, The Kinslayer Wars, and The Qualinesti

I'm currently reading Blades of the Tiger: The Taladas Chronicles- Volume One (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0786935693/qid=1119558273/sr=1-7/ref=sr_1_7/002-9188206-7007254?v=glance&s=books)

I might pick that up, the new one.

Been awhile though, I got pulled off into Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan for the past 12 years, and I'm regretting it.

So much goddamn arm crossing and pouting in the writing and not enough tangible storyline.

You should try reading Terry Goodkind's Wizards First Rule (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0812548051/qid=1119561107/sr=2-2/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_2/002-9188206-7007254) as it is an extremely compelling story and much more adult in tone that many fantasy books. For example they have very compelling toture scenes in the book which is something you don't see a lot of in fantasy.

I also highly suggest you try Terry Brooks The Sword of Shanarra (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0345314255/qid=1119561341/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-9188206-7007254) which ismore taditional fantasy but EXTREMELY well done. Extermely enjoyable.

Both of those series are books that when they come/came out I read them in one day and both of those two books above are over 1000 pages in paperback form.

I tried the Wheel of Time series quite a while back but just couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll check it out again.

Good stuff. Will check it out.

last good fantasy/sci fi book I read which I couldn't put down and ended up buying the whole series (Which sucked compared to the first), was "Ender's Game", by Orson Scott Card.

Magnificent Book, and I enjoyed it to no end. Reminded me how it felt to be that age again, and how it just sucked getting older with more responsiblities.

Though I didn't find a connection with Ender, I did with Bean, in the first novel, and later with Ender's Shadow.

Excellent book, I highly recommend it!

Always nice to see a fellow Dragonlance fan. Raistlin Majere is my favorite charcter in the Dragonlance world followed closely by Tasslehoff Burrfoot. I have Martin's first book I bought a while back and intend to read it sometime this summer.

While there are Dragonlance books you can enjoy out of order or without background info it is MUCH better to start from the beginning.

Here's a link so you can start with the beginning of the vast series of books available from them. Dragonlance Chronicles Trilogy (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0786926813/qid=1119631057/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-9188206-7007254)

Also, for both you and Anthony I also highly suggest Carol Berg and the Transformation (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0451457951/qid=1119631135/sr=1-6/ref=sr_1_6/002-9188206-7007254?v=glance&s=books), Revelation, and Restoration trilogy. Extremely well done and I plan to check out her other series of books when I finish the third in this trilogy.

I was looking for something new for the summer. I'll check them out.

And maybe i'll give the dragon lance books another shot

I think you'll really enjoy the martin books... couldn't put them down. And was really pissed when i found out like 2 years ago when i finished it that the fourth book was going to take a long time
