Word is that she'll soon be living here in Montreal.
People are losing their minds over it.

As a liberal, I'm all for giving an ex-con a break, and making a few bucks wouldn't hurt anybody either...

Wow. Thanks for the fill-in there. Apparently happened the year I took off with my Sherpa on a journey to my inner-self.

I can't believe they let her plea bargain in the first place!

I've got a feeling she'll be either dead or very close to it within a month of her release <_<

They were in a frenzy to get her husband, so they struck a deal with her.

Evidence of her true role in the crimes didn't come to light until several years after both of them were convicted.

"The people" would have been pissed no matter what happened in this case.

Right. But the thing is that both her and Paul were equally guilty and evil.
I won't be surprised if someone offs her in short order.

They had no choice they didn't think they had a strong enough case at the time because they didn't have the video tapes yet. Which I don't necessarily condone but understand the reasons for.

although when the tapes surfaced and she was found out to have not disclosed everything as part of her agreement she should have fried then... but no.. they let it go.

the bitch is going to have to find a REALLY deep dark hole to hide in the rest of her life I think

Sorry hits close to home for me... I was living less than a 15 minute walk from where leslie mahaffy was taken at the time. My parents freaked out cause I wasn't very old still

Didn't know that at the time, though.

Close to home for me as well....attacks made a complete square around my house when I was living in Scarborough...

I still remember the signs on the buses that said 'Do you know this person?" and it had a drawn image of a guy with blonde hair, a blue jacket and a puzzle piece for his face....

Anyone know why she couldn't be done for murder if extra facts came to light after being done for manslaughter?

Is that double-jeopardy?

She negotiatedc a plea bargain that covered all prior bad acts, so double jeapordy would apply.

She'll be living somewhere in Montreal, rumour is NDG. She's staying in Quebec as the French Media didn't really follow the case, so she can "hide in plain site here".

She's also cut her hair and dyed it very dark. For her court appearance last week, she wore a long blonde wig to try and disguise her new look. But, I believe word will spread quite quickly as to where she is, and what she looks like.

Personally, I think she is even worse than her husband. She tried to play the victim, but so much has come out showing that she was the predator. Remember, this was the chick that drugged her own sister, then spent close to 20 minutes licking and playing with her pussy! She then sat there, drinking, and watched her sister choke on her own vomit. A real class act.
