LONDON (AP) - A British man - half of a couple who held the record for the world's longest living marriage - has died just two weeks after setting the mark, his local bishop said on Wednesday.

Percy Arrowsmith, 105, and his 100-year-old wife Florence celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary and a place in the Guinness Book of World Records on June 1.

There was an interview done with them on their last anniversary. When Percy was asked how they stayed married so long, he said it was a matter of learning to say "Yes, dear." :)

Yeah someone over at the zoo was celebrating and anniversary on the first and i happened to see the article about them making the record and posted it then as a sort of "congrats hope you make it this long" kind of thing...

they did seem to care about each other very much from what i read...

the yes dear answer is probably why my relationships never seem to work out :D

Hmm. What is the proper gift to give someone on their 80th anniversary?
