I'm sure people listen to many styles, but what is your favorite, and if I didn't include it, list it here.

Also try and include mp3 files of some of your favorite songs so you can share your listening habits with others :)

I'm curious to what kind of music diversity we have here.

Yeah that's a good idea, let's exchange pirated music and use this board as a vehicle for that :okthumb:

all things metal: heavy metal, death metal, thrash metal, black metal, Christian metal, grindcore, hardcore, etc.
punk rock (the real punk rock from the 70's and early 80s)
country (mainly before 1995 or so)
opera
I also have a closet polka addiction

I concur. It is a great idea, I wonder what genius thought of that, but thanks for pointing it out! :okthumb:

I guess it's very late wherever the genius resides ;-)

Mainly Techno and Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B.

:)

I'm glad we've resisted the urge to turn this place into a Limewire or WinMX

classic rock/rock will always be my favorite since my fav bands are in this category. top bands are led zeppelin, pink floyd, rolling stones, and such. my play lists would make most classic rock fans sick though, I have spice1 right after floyd, 2pac after the stones, and popular club dance after zeppelin, with metal, techno, obscure hard house, trance, disco, classical and of course 80's all randomly mixed in there. no new guests to my house leave without saying "damn thats a fucked up list."

hell yeah
I seriously own, but don't keep in public view, the Frankie (no relation to Weird Al) Yankovic box set...
all of the songs are about drinking beer and dancing...

If you like classic rock, you should check out Yellow Brick Road at Boulder Station on your next trip to Vegas...they are a classic rock cover band and the singer is a great vocal mimic from Queen (this singer is the only cover singer I've seen who can do Queen's "Hocus Pocus" and not fuck it up) to Rush to Led Zeppelin to Pink Floyd and even a little G n R and Metallica
