Ben I personally edited your initial post and had to remove so many links that if I'd put the spam pig in everyone it would have looked like a joke or a pig farm.

Our sponsors pay good money to advertise here and we defend that to the utmost, as you say "you've had no problems posting this at any other board", all I can say to that is maybe we care about our sponsors more than they care about there's, I really don't know.

I really am sorry for any confusion here. We all agree that this message would have been better placed on a announcement board. However, we do not all agree that the original message was in fact, spam. The original message was not asking anyone to sign up for anything. It did not ask anyone to buy anything. It did not do anything other than to inform "the webmasters" on this board about the party, and who will be attending.

Fuck that Trev. Remember when Nick opened up the Public Board on Netpond? All of us Noobs back then were scared to post. Shit, I remember asking Serge to go through my site and give me feedback.

The old bastard said something about did you know that 30 percent of the web can't see your site properly because they are using Netscape X.X or something antiquated.

Made alot of sense, so from that period on, I made sites that tried to cater to everyone's browser.

Anyways, back to what we're talking about. Noobs like Bestat, and RRRed whe went on that public board did better for themselves, because it got them noticed.

Not much has changed from then on that board, to now on this board. Sure there are more ppl joining everyday, but how many make a splash like Mindy and Ben? Nothing like old fashion piss marketing. :)

Yeah Wednesday is humpday, I get the concept.

Announcing that it is humpday by copy and pasting the same post on 10 different boards just to get your signature exposed is just a lazy marketing strategy. I don't see why you expect to be welcomed and treated nicely on a webmaster forum if all you do is a driveby copy and paste of some ridiculous, meaningless heap of empty text just to get your signature linking to your bosses site noticed.

So your excuse would be that someone is paying you to post that kind of garbage.

Don't get me wrong, this board is here to market and network, but at least make the effort to join in a discussion and share some real opinions, then maybe people won't be so hostile :okthumb:
