piloted last year, was a big success.

HBO show done by Mark Wahlberg, about a New York actor whose making it big in Hollywood. His 3 buddies he grew up poor with now lives with him and he sort of carries them around, made one them his manager.

Pretty much young rich actor guy with friends buying cool stuff (fancy cars, house, dogs, etc), banging hot girls, and living the surreal Hollywood life, while showing his acting career (movie premieres, bad reviews, etc.) A little far-fetched, but entertaining to say the least. Its hard to get me addicted to anything on TV these days, but I tune in to this.

ah cool, please excuse my ignorance, we don't get many decent shows in Spain or in the UK to be honest. The Sopranos is the only one that springs to mind ..

Will keep an eye open for it and thanks ;)

One a scale of one to ten, with one being boring to the point of death, I give Entourage a score of 2.

I like the show. It is mindless entertainment - but nevertheless - entertainment.

The agent is my hero.

At 52, I'm hardly a good judge, because I'm WAY outside the demographic for the show.

I would like to point out that I made my evaluation BEFORE Mike and Grogan indicated that they watched it ... and I will resist the temptation to lower the score accordingly. :D

It's not too bad... definitly mindless entertainment but don't most tv shows far into that catagory? I am more of a movie type tv watcher and don't really watch very many series type shows... Deadwood was an exception, that show is a good one... COCKSUCKERS!

You know, I was thinking about that tonight.

I mean, it wasn't so bad when I only had one grandkid. Now that I've got two of em, it made me realize something important.

That ex-wife of mine is getting pretty damned old.

HBO mini series all end up on Amazon.com sooner or later

I really like most of the HBO mini series. I always let the season run without watching and then order them on DVD from Amazon so I can watch them on the 100" screen with surround sound.

You don't have digital cable? HBO broadcasts in HD!

They definitely don't over here :( It looks fine on a television but if you look analog TV on a projector and blow it up to 100" it looks horrible and of course the sound sucks too.

So I patiently wait about a year after the season to get my dose of Sopranos ;-)

I don't remember watching it...might be of some interest. I'll check it out. :)

Most movies, unless I rent one, if they don't catch my attention from the get go, I start fliping the channel. :P
