As people are finding out 3rd party processors continue their downward spiral.
The only solution is to get your own merchant account.
Titan
06-01-2005, 12:07 PM
verotel is one other possible solution but i agree the best solution is to get your own merchant account
OR you could forget about processing for yourself and just send traffic to other poeple and let them worry about it :)

The best solution of all , is to not get involved in any of it.
Send traffic , collect the wires , let the people sending you the wires worry over processing etc etc.
And while they have 20 staff monitoring fraud , customer service , updating content , yadadadada , you play golf , watch movies with your friends and family and plan your trip accross country in an RV :)
Seems like I may have got something else right...

trve/Nick - this is a great point, however with 3rd party processers sucking - it does hurt conversions for those who send traffic to other people. ( especially in the single girl niche)
I may have to come out of retirement just so I have someplace to send my traffic - thanks to the incompetance of ccbill.

I know of a couple solutions, for a thrid party I would take a look at
http://www.myvirtualcard.com
and for your own merchant account
http://www.netbilling.com
or if you want an offshore merchant account, I can recommend a solution there as well. hit me up on icq if you would like it 174842541

So.. what's the deal with CCBill? What happened that makes them not acceptable right now?
You can always try your own merchant account. I'm curious as to how CCBill has screwed up so badly. Normally I'll agree their initial throughput is not as good as Paycoms, but the net results usually are about the same.

I am curious as well. But since getting a straight honest answer will never come, it really is a moot point.
I think a nice start would be have a better up time. I guess they can blame that on cave creek hosting.
Interesting, the reason for having Cavecreek was for uptime and infrastructure.

They process for CP sites and a whole range of other err... undesirable type of paysites and, there was something mentioned on GFY (which i know is hardly the most credible source of info) saying that they allowed persons under the age of 18 to process porn through their system too.

That's not shit... Ron C. is synonymous with child pornographers in every way possible if you ask me. Everyone here who was around for it knows the story ...
However CaveCreek only hosted them and CCBill only processed for them as he was turning the information over to 'government entitites' being the noble guy he is... Gives me good feelings all over!!
Was kind of weird though, as the stuff that was very borderline legal/illegal - and no governments had intentions to do anything about were also using both CaveCreek and CCBill... Guess he just figured he should make them all feel welcome?
This was a huge deal years ago... I made a decision then and never did send a single signup through CCBill... Some people still remember it and have let it go as the years go on... I have had to deal with CCBill the last couple of months and I have decided I woudl rather pull my pubic hairs out one by one then deal with their tech support team. Unfortunately I get stuck dealing with them time to time still...
Paycom, only had one serious issue with at any point of time with them... and everyone knows they pulled through that with flying colors. I am sure if they were in the same situation again the results would be repeated. CCBill I am not so sure about - I honestly don't know why anyone would use them as a primary processor and don't know any major sites who do any more - but I could be wrong..

From someone who hasn't taken new signups for nearly two years... definitely make checks your #1 option and push as many signups to your check biller as possible!
1 check sale is worth 10 credit card sales in the long run! Those check rebills will be coming in for your great grand children to enjoy while your credit card rebills go to shit almost the same day you stop promoting your sites :okthumb:

That is INCORRECT. We have never touched CP. We recently stopped processing for legal, underaged NON-NUDE modeling sites.
These sites were not pornographic in any way. You don't have to like the sites, but at least be accurate and objective in your description of them.
In any case, we no longer processes for those site. If you have further questions regarding this matter, or anything else, please feel free to drop me a line at

Nude or not, many of us don't approve of sites that put up pics of children in sexy poses for pedophiles to jerk off at and providing billing or having provided billing for that type of site reflects very negatively on your business.

You're either an idiot or you put so much coke up your nose you missed about 5 years worth of the internet.
CCBill was not processing anything illegal, for starters. A US Customs agent investigated every reported instance of an issue with either CCBill or Cavecreek.

CCBill customer support has always been dead on for me and availible 24 hours ...7 days a week. You can set your calendar by when the checks arrive as well.

KK you still being paid for this issue?
This cloud still hangs over the Caldwell family. Not matter how much you spin. I have never seen one docuement of proof. If it was such a big "investigation" surely the people invovled would have been prosecuted by now.
Post proff. Or did I miss 5 years online as well?
With KP, Beastie, and non-nude underage girls, CCBill was dirty.
LOL, nope, I don't get paid any more, but I do know the details and the changing of the AUP that it took to get rid of some sites that were legal. Tasteless, yes. Personally offensive, yes. But as you of all people know, legal isn't a matter of taste. I'd also point out that CCBill was by no means the only processor with sites on their books that fit this description. Every processor cut tons of sites off when Visa went to their brand protection stance.
And it's Cadwell ;)

Hi Timon,
I would agree with you, It certainly has cast us in a negitive light. But, what's done is done. Unfortunately, we cannot go back and change things. We can only work towards the future now.
Nonetheless, our merchants for the most part have great things to say about us. We work hard to offer good processing solutions and services at a good value. I like to think we offer great services.

Them whacky folks over at TTI (cyberage/UGAS) do third party & merchant processing. I think they charge like 10-12% per transaction and have a 5% reserve for the third party deal. I don't know if they're taking on any new clients but you can check:

This is Michael Sperber. I wanted to tell you about a new EU payment processor that I'm working with.
SegPay stands for Segregated Payments. SegPay is a registered EU based Internet Payment Service Provider (IPSP) for online
merchants of all kinds.
It is a whole new way for webmasters to view their payment security on the Internet. In the normal model of third party
processing, the bank pays the processor, and then the processor distributes funds to the sub merchants. The traditional third
party credit card processor typically held client funds for up to one month before releasing to their clients for payout, and if
there is a problem, the processor has discretion as to which merchants get paid first. *Under the SegPay model, all client
funds are held by the bank until the time of payout*. SegPay has contracted with a third party auditor to provide a full audit on
client funds owed as well as facilitate the release of these funds. This way, online merchants can sleep at night knowing that
their funds are safe and will be paid. *The processor never touches your money, it is paid from the bank, through the auditor
and direct to the sub merchant.*
This segregation of funds is standard in the financial services industry; indeed, any failure to do so would be highly illegal.
SegPay brings this important security facility to the eCommerce world.
SegPay has a state of the art system that provides real time credit card and check authorization services, automated password
management systems, marketing tools, affiliate tracking, 24X7 real time sales reporting, and an online web interface to make
account changes on the fly.
We have WEEKLY payouts, extremely competitive rates, and a very experienced staff that understand the needs of the webmaster/web
merchant.

Dude!!!!!
Your third party auditor is
Inteca.org?
Correct?
Well inteca.org says in its "about us"
"""""Inteca is led by a small group of industry professionals who all share a common vision of providing leadership and assistance to e-commerce merchants through partnerships with commercial enterprises, other non-profit organizations and governmental bodies world wide.""""""
"industry professionals" I guess includes the owners of segpay??? LOL
ahahahahahahahahahahaha
Nice try....
