Having seen the other thread over people concerns regarding 2257 , I wondered if Oprano is diversifying?

Timon and myself it appears both look at the internet as a marketing tool and market whichever product is most profitable.

In days gone by this was probably without a doubt adult , but discussions with others make me think I am not alone in being able to say that less than 1% of my income comes from adult.

I earn very little from porn, since coming back online it's been brought to my attention that the real money is elsewhere :)

ive made it through ten years of making my living dealing with the internet and never managed a single piece of content. never had to worry about content regulations.

I've got involved with a content company once.

It is not my thing.

If you REALLY want to get to know the REAL flakes in this business get involved with content.

There is very little money to be made in being content or producing content.

And a high proportion of people in both fields don't care :)

Well i have a partner who did pretty well in content, but the key to any online business is traffic. I dont carfe how nice your site is, or how good your art. cant even give away free money if noone comes in the store:)

:pearl:

I am convinced that all the content producers in South Florida are fucking insane.
And of recent I think that the Arizona crew is bucking up to come on the radar as well.

I hear that the plastic surgeons that do boob jobs are busy as a mother fucker!

there are exceptions to the rule always. But it takes brains to manage a successful content company. Not that many content companies have the necessary acumen to make it, especially these days. Doing only content would be deemed blinkered, imo, because we all need diversity to grow our respective businesses.

Success comes from knowing your market, and playing with players, otherwise go home, and stay there.

2005 will be a huge year for some, and a tragedy for others.

In another thread i read about culling the herd. It's about to happen, and I for one am ready, and eagerly awaiting it.

true, but a portion of all domains are adult. its about the same across the board.

earning income from adult i derive to mean cultivating adult content and adult surfers with the express intent on making money from advertising or content or sales of adult material. domains are on the sideline of the adult market. an indirect contributor.
