You forgot their wonderful beer in the first statement ;) for which they are excused ..as there are some wonderful beers .. However in saying that, I have driven through it and stopped on many occasion. The spectacular people who just stop where they want on the side of the road, to take a piss or a shit clutters up the motorways in abundance, show how they feel about the place.

Belgian beer is some of the best I've ever had... I've never had a hangover from it, no matter how much I've drank...

I'm not talking about Stella either, Zatte Bie is the real deal!

This sounds like a Euro thing, but for my two cents American ...

1) They sound like French but are smart enough not to live in France

2) I love Belgian waffles

I think getting out of a speeding ticket with a bribe when I go to Germany :awinky:

honestly? About four years ago I went to Belgium on a day trip. I didn't expect to like the place but ended up falling in love with the country. I have been back any chance I get and if I don't go atleast every six months I start to get twitchy. To be honest, I am due a visit about now.

They typically run alongside you in unmarked cars flashing a camera .. all you see is them overtake ..FLASH .. and they are in front of you with a siren informing you to slow down .. once caught they have photographic proof and will on many occasions make you leave your car if you have no cash on you and take you immediately to an atm to give them the fine .. then you have to find your way back to the car ..

However, if you have a digital camera and pass a lot of cars, flashing other motorists will make them slow down, even if you don't take any photos so you can overtake .. it does work alledgedly lol ..

hahaha good one, I have to try that next time ;-)

In Holland they have a system that takes a picture of your license plate when you enter the highway and another when you exit the highway and then calculates your average speed between entry and exit, if it's too high you'll get the fine in the mail.

Try beating that one :(
