I'd feel a bit worse about not being 100% up-to-date on changes here if I hadn't gotten a hostile response to my question about avatars in the thread about changes which says Oprano is about welcoming people and which doesn't mention this change. Eep, no, you weren't hostile at all and, had I thought you were, I would have said something privately. You were helpful and answered the question. Some other mod who may be a big deal but who I actually have not heard of before posted afterwards telling me my problem was that I don't know html. Which struck me as ironic in a thread about being welcoming.
