Boards... How many, how often, how long?

I know I spend a lot of my time on this board, but it wasn’t until I headed off on a recon to the other boards that I realised there are people that sit there on the boards all day and sometimes they are logged into three or more boards at the same time…

So my questions are how much time do you spend on the boards and how many do you post on?

I know I refresh between 5 – 90 minutes but I’m only on one board…I find it hard to think any work gets done if people do more than that on 3 or more boards.

What do you guys think?

I typically spend about 15 minutes on other boards, seeing whats going on, then residing here most of the time available for oprano and sorting out stuff for mainstream as well.

Skim through them once a day.... any threads I post in I bookmark and check every hour to two ... Except here I pretty much skim on and off throughout the day

(we are talking about boards, right? Because some things can't be too many, too often or too long......)

its depends on your business.... I know people who monitor multiple boards everyday and still make money....its really what you do on the board that counts..

I use All Of 'Em and Boards Scanner cause they save me time. :yowsa:

I monitor here off and on between stuff during the day.

If I go to other boards (other than the one I am now ignoring) it is usually because of a thread here directing me or because I am looking for a particular person.

I have a tendency to get addicted to board stuff, so if I spend too much time on boards I tend to get nothing else done. :blink:

I might spend a total of 3 to 4 hours a day...depending what else needs

to get done...To me it's networking. Being visible :awinky:

I post and read one main board and actually am there quite a bit... 20 or so posts a day... and there are two others that I check about weekly unless I have an active thread on them, which isn't often, and I just posted here yesterday. I suspect this board will fall somewhere between those extremes.

i do about 3 hours a day or so, i don't watch tv, so its something to do and helps with my site, learned a ton :)
