Steps are for qualifying for bigger tourneys ofline? Also, how many people/tables were in the tourney? I'm just curios because $2000 is awfully low payout for a $400 buy-in unless it's a small tourney or a tourney you are playing to try and qualify for a much bigger tourney.

Those were mini steps... tourney buyin starts at level 1 for $5+$1 you can go all the way to the tourney above froma $5 + +$1 buyin

Not how I did it that time, but once in the regular steps I went from level 1-5 which is a $11 +$1 buying and I got a seat to a $1000 + $XX buying.. paid out 1-4th, got 5th .... :(
