Want to set up a blog?

Anyone here want to set up a wordpress blog on one of there sites?

On Sunday id like to offer the chance for a few people to get a walk through on setting one up and getting some first hand input (small group) and some tips on whats effective and some of the tools, tricks to be used.

Im thinking of setting a limit of 6-8 people and we will start right from the beginning of the installation, and carry on until they are all up and configured and have a post on them, ready to roll so to speak. Topics involved will be things like general blogging, why blogs, content for blogs, and rss feeds , how to use your rss feed and also how to use someone elses.

There will be no charge for this, but i ask you are prepared for Sunday and have a few things i require for you to partake in this. I dont need these, you need these.

A domain
A mysql database (have your db name, db username, and db pass)
Newest release of Wordpress 1.5.1 (http://wordpress.org/download/)
Ftp Access to your domain (some folders must be made writable)
NAKED VIDEOS FOR ME TO WATCH WHILE YOU WORK
A webmaster page link to oprano somewhere on one of your sites.


Prepare to spend atleast 3-4 hrs together on sunday to ensure everyone has a good understanding of the program and has it up and running effectively. We will begin at 1pm EST on Sunday and will resolve once everyone is complete.

If you are interested in participating this Sunday, post here what type of blog you want to set up and any details you can about what you intend to accomplish, the participants will be chosen based on what i feel is an eagerness to do it and my feelings on your sincerity.

SUNDAY 1 PM EST for those who cant find when. Ill post the actual details as they are scheduled. This is for OPRANO members so if you are not you may want to sign up and tell us who you are.

I would take you up on it in a heart beat as I have alot to learn but I don't use Word Press I am using a different Blog script.. Blog hoster that actually lets others signup for blogs at your site (not sure if word press does that) ....

I might have to submit an application to get in this work shop and learn wordpress regardless - nice to see people with such good hearts still around in this business Jiz !

A very good use as sexines replaces oprano plus as a magazine format. Now if I can ever figure how to get the kilixxx feed working again over there it would be great.

Here's my essay deal....

Been out of the business (as everyone knows) for so many years it isn't even funny. Every week I have been learnign new things and learning what has changed about what I still knew.. It is starting to become fun for me again and I feel liek I'm doing something with my life - nice change!

Anyways, http://www.funnyassjokes.com (once i get a wire I'm waiting on I will be getting a design done... obviously)....

I want the blog to be for people to post the jokes they get by e-mail, run into on the web, etc.. Kind of a note pad in a sense that they can access by the web or share with friends 24.7 :)

I think it's a pretty cool idea, plenty of joke sites out there but no joke blogs - maybe it will fly maybe it wont but hey I want to give it a shot.. I know nothing about RSS etc... and very very very little about blogging and I am eager to earn as this will not be the only blog I make, this is just my first one..

Lemme know if I'm in so I can make plans accordingly :)

What about just a mass copy/paste at the end of it?

Im gonna have us all post a play-by-play as we run through in the noobie board, and we can also post the questions asked/answered in there that we take from the copy/paste.

Worst case scenario we can just run a irc room or i can slap up a room on one of my servers.
