with the Internet. I look fondly back on the early 90s, with my 14.4 connection to 'FreeNet'. My pine mail and my lynx browser.. it was all so simple then. Even before that I ran a BBS, remember those? Ahh, what fun it was being a sysop, the grand ruler of your own little world (I miss playing L.O.R.D!!). These boards remind me sometimes of the message forums that I had running... how strage it was to wait a day to read new posts to the threads (I only did a message run once a day). Trying out all the lastest ProBoard mods. And porn.. ohh I remember the first time I got onto an adult BBS.. all the low quality jpegs I could handle :)

Anyone have any good stories from the olden days, memories to share?

Then some fucktard spammed the se's and took pratically every position in the top 100 or 120 or so and after that it was much harder to get top positions. <_<

Designing the layout in ascii and ansi graphics with "thedraw" which came later on, and running up phone bills of £2k plus a month on transfers

My first adult internet experience was in early 1997, going with a female friend who was going to shoot for ALS Scan
The shoot was in a nice suite at a local hotel, they are totally professional, they come with an entire staff including females to assist the model

We watched as later the photos went up on the site and figured we could do the same
So with under $4,000 invested and no knowledge of the adult internet's workings (but I had 12 years experience as a marketing director) we opened the paysite Cloud 9 Entertainment on August 18, 1997

Fuck, here I am almost 8 years later

HAHAHA I burnt about 3 thousand 5.25 disks and about 2.5 thousand 3.5 inch diskettes the other day, remembered seeing "thedraw" amongst them and feeling all nostalgic ;)

Think about 5 1/4 floppies makes me think of my first computer: a cloned apple II with external 5 1/4 drive and 12" amber monochrome monitor. That system had THE BEST games.. Indiana Jones.. The Dark Crystal.. Ribbitt.. Lode Runner... not ot mention the games you could buy (just as a book) and program yourself by copying the code, I wrote a missle-command style game :) great way to learn basic!!
