I was wondering why programs hire REAL morons as sig whores.

Seriously....

there are a few programs I know that whales of my acquaintance won't touch because of the sig whores flying nthere banners.

They may actually have good programs but they are represented by morons.

Do you think "negative sig whoring" is a factor or do you think it doesn't matter and that people will sign up for the program even if the sig whore is a bonafide moron?

Isn't becoming a sig whore an admission you really don't have a clue how to make REAL money in this business so you will post on message boards and give your opinion (based on your failure in this business to make money) in order to buy your mac and cheese?


I mean...what happened to going and just getting a job?

NOTE - does not apply to the top flight of sig whotre , top reps etc...merely to the guttersnipe cave dwelling loser reps which is about 85% of them.

Hi, my name is sarettah and I was a sigwhore (was also a boardwhore for a little while too). But neither one worked out.

The boardwhore thing went out the window with one rather porrly thought out post and the sigwhore thing went out when the program owner forgot what he was going to pay me the second month. We agreed to one amount, he decided he needed to make it a lower amount and then he sent an even lower amount (which I promptly rejected)...lolol...

However, let me say, that I never solicited either of those positions, both were offered up out of the blue. Sheez, you call me and say I'll give you $500 a month to carry your banner in my sig and I am probably gonna take it..lololol.. However when someone asks me about the program in my sig I am probably gonna reply with something like: "Hell if I know. They pay me $500 a month to carry the stupid thing around and I ain't stupid (Or proud)."

Some sig whores can really give you a good laugh.

There was one over on Newbie Webmasters who ran the most glowing recommendation for Top Bucks in his sig. He claimed to be making piles of cash from them.

Then one day he posted that he wasn't making a cent from any of his sponsors and wanted some new ones and all the while he was whining and complaining there was that glowing recommendation for Topbucks in his sig.

As I recall he got quite upset when I pointed out the anomaly and couldn't understand what I was getting at.

He left the industry shortly after that still wondering why people laughed at him.

Gotta admit, I pay so little attention to sig whores, I wouldn't know what the fuck they were promoting, so for me it's a fairly neutral effect. Laughable idiot reps, however, make me hold off signing up for a long time.

Odlly, the best reps in this biz are the ones that you see only occasionally on boards in most cases & when you do see them, they're concise, accurate and helpful. My guess is they're probably busy taking care of business.
