Looked at the source and the .css code but couldn't figure it out - Here is one site that is doing it ...

http://kaosblog.com/

Can anyone point me towards a tutorial or lmk how you do those dashed table borders?

Here's an example of how it works for me on hover.

<style type="text/css">
a
{
font-size: 12px;
color: #A16A29;
text-decoration: none;
}
a:hover
{
color: #FFFFFF;
}
a:hover img
{
border: 1px dotted #FFFFFF;
}

.thumb
{
border: 1px solid #A16A29;
}
body
{
font-size: 12px;
font-family: Verdana;
}
td
{
font-size: 12px;
font-family: Verdana;
}
.head
{
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 24px;
}
</style>

Here's the whole td tag he's using:

</div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>HTML </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><td bgcolor="#FF6C00" style="border-bottom-width:1px; border-bottom-color:rgb(102,102,102); border-bottom-style:dashed;">
</td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'>

:)

Adult webmasters in general are woefully unknowledgable about the things CSS can do -- no doubt because of our tendency to build ugly pages and sites for adult.

And I can say that because I'm one of them that doesn't know 1/4 of what CSS can do very well myself.

I've got a style sheet I'm working on for a non-adult thing and it's up to 12k, I'm not even a third of the way through on it yet :(

I've still got all the fancy bells and whistles to add....

Edit: Pulled the css

I will admit, there is some DAMN cool shit you can do with HTML since I last designed any sites... Now I just have to figure everything out :)

There's a load of bookmark scripts but I use this one:

Drop this in to the head of your page:
</div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>HTML </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><script language="JavaScript">
<!--
var url="http://www.yourdomain.com"
var title="YOUR DESCRIPTION"
function bookmark(){window.external.AddFavorite(url,title); }
//-->
</script>
</td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'>

Then just drop a normal link like this:

</div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>HTML </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><a href="javascript:bookmark();" title="Click Here to bookmark Yourdomain.com">Click here to bookmark</a>
</td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'>

Like I said there are loads, but I use loads of bookmark links per page so it's good for that :)

That one is a piece of JavaScript, Ryan. Try http://javascript.internet.com for that.

O.K. Guys, I have ALWAYS sucked at tables, but some of this new stuff makes things easier when you get the hang of it. I always used to end up with overlapping tables, cells all over the place, etc... This isn't to bad for a start.

I need a real graphics designer to do the logo and make the page 'prettier' but it's a start... First site I have built in 5 years - LOL
