Welp,
I sent my mom a card, but as for the wife, I think a nice sunset boat ride with some champagne is the ticket.

Getting ready to deliver a card and a plant and keep the visit to a minimum... We don't get along very well but I give her enought respect for a card and plant...
But I am gonna wear my t-shirt that says:
"My parents said I could be anything,
so I became an asshole"

Well, the visit went better than expected... :bdance:
I dropped off the plant on the door step, pinned the card on the door, knocked on the door, ran and jumped in the car and left <_<
well almost... nobody was home... :yowsa:

sorry guys, didn't see the questions until now.
For balsamic reduction i just take good quality balsamic vinegar and mix it with a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of cinnimon. Then I reduce it on the stove (bring to boil and let simmer for 10-15 minutes).
Today I skipped the glaze and made Pineapple boats instead. makes for easy serving.
On the Salmon I used olive oil and Lemon pepper seasoning.
On the steaks I used Smoked Delights Original Blend Steak seasoning (http://www.smokeddelights.com) -- It's amazing! The guy who makes it is a forum member on my sharky.com board.
Here is a pic of the final product:

Thanks.
You should have seen the breakfast I made for my wife!
My wife is a great cook, but doesn't enjoy it. I do. I love cooking, especially grilled foods.
Ask Serge and MikeAI how my cooking has improved over the years. 4-5 years ago I liked my steaks like shoe leather, until Serge bitched at me. Then MikeAI took me out to dinner and talked me into ordering a Medium steak. since then I have seen the light and can enjoy food for the flavor now.

Ok,
Now I've cooked fish and seafood six ways from Sunday and I've never heard of Cedar Plank grilling.
Please explain.
In return I will give you a stuffed flounder recipe that will garner you blowjobs from any woman that tastes it. (the flounder!)
:D
(oh, and BTW this thread is tipping the scales with gayness)

heres a couple links

bobby flay has a really good recipe

basically you cook the salmon on a cedar plank, the flavor carries over to the fish, along with a smoked sort of flavor. its a good change of taste and hard to mess up. :)
I picked up a nice salmon filet at the store today, going to grill it with marinated cucumbers tomorrow:)
