I liked it. Good adventure story. I like Nicholas Cage as an actor. If you want an older movie of his that is quite good that is more action style I suggest you check out Face Off with he and John Travolta.

I've got the "Directors Special Editon" of that on tape, comes with a hologram on the box cover and 15 minutes of extra film :okthumb:

To each their own. I thought that they both did an excellent job of acting in the movie. The action sequence to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was a cool scene.

I was never a fan of Travolta until face off.
Cage gets my vote every time :okthumb:
The wife said something weird tonight, she came running in here saying "Gandalf is in Corrie"... weird because she only knew him as Gandalf
Translated = Sir Ian McKellen is now in Coronation Street

Nick Cage action flicks, huh?
"Con Air" is the best of them. "The Rock" probably second.
"Face Off" might be third. Haven't seen "Treasure" yet.

gone in 60 seconds the worst.......
"my brother......what was my brother doing....on a booost.....?"
all and all I like him as an actor though, matchstick men and adaptation were very nice.

watch adaptation. it's a film not done for the money. really cool that national treasure did well though, he deserves some money.

I like reading these reviews made by those who have actually seen the movies.
The opinions vary and are based on personal tastes. Not only that, but movies are mentioned, ones I forget about.
Now I know that National Treasure, at least, didn't suck. So many movies do.
I think Face Off was one of Travolta's better movies and I also enjoyed Get Shorty.
How was Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?

yep to each thier own, I cant generally stand Travolta, and Nick Cage only has one facial expression, and cant act.(outside of Adaptation, which i wholly credit Charlie Kaufman for);) therefore i dont like any other movie Nicholas Cage has been in, so its a personal thing:)

I heard it was good but I forget who is in this movie.
Please enilighten me
Watched this with the kids last night too - I agree, it was good - a little long, but better than I was expecting. Plus it got the kids interested in Googling a lot of history stuff - that's always a nice extra.

Ok. I see how the consensus is going.
Sounds like I'm going to be renting this for one of our weekend activities.
