View Full Version : Proud Mummy Moment

After my telling Daniel that he would NOT get selected for the Brisbane North rep team, cos he was too lazy on the field (he does all the 'hooker' things well...scrummaging...lineout throws...but tends to hang around waiting for a bus to show up to take him to the next maul)...the little shit lifted his game enormously on selection day and got thru to the first round.

Monday he played Possibles v Probables, and this evening we got the phone call that he'd made it into the rep side.

Great excitement all round. :D

State Championships are 25th and 26th of June. :bjump:

That's great Lisa - it's the kids like Daniel that tend to surprise their parents the most and he certainly impressed us when we met him :)

He looks very determined (and a little nasty :okthumb: ), I like that it's the WINTER Carnival and there's no snow :)

Hehehe thanks Nick. :awinky:

Trev, he is VERY determined, tenacious, and a real terrier on the field. We always expected that Jordie would probably play rep when the time comes (still 2 yrs away yet) but doubted that Dan would cos of that whole laziness thing...shows how much I know...or maybe it was my telling him he wouldn't get selected, and why, that made him lift his game. :D

Hopefully after the State Championships I'll have a good photo of Dan in action.

BTW, if it ever snowed here in Brisbane they'd declare it a holiday. ;)

You can tell just from that pic. I've got my fingers crossed for both of'em now :)

Hmm no snow in Brisbane... must be why my dad spends nearly 2 months over there every year...
