Damn day late and a dollar short, I knew the answer too...

Famicon was actually the Japaneese/Asian whatever version of NES... Same system, Famicon was never launched in the U.S. I don't believe. Then again that was so long ago I barely remember...

I do remember my Activision, Pong, and Pitfall though :))

It's a TI94A came out in late 80 or early '81, some time around there.

I think the site I lifted the pic from had a fact sheet on it :)

Trying to remember the other little computer that was out at the same time that used a tape deck for storage and all.

The operating system was straight BASIC. you used basic commands for everything...lol...

But I learned my way around basic on the little fucker :)

Heres the url I lifted the pic from. Cool little computer museum site, now that I actually look at it...:)

http://users.knoware.nl/users/stuurmn/ti94a.htm

Anyway, I bought one when they were pretty new, think I spent $150 or so for the base system. Then a year or two later I bought 2 more because TI decided to can the home puter department and they were selling them as low as $25.00 but there was a $50.00 rebate offer in the box :)

Gave 1 of them to my friend (partner still in some endeavours) and had the other one as a spare. Probably still sitting in the basement with our first NES and shit :)

The other one on the market at the time that I was thinking about was the sinclair :)

Found it in the museum

I think my first independent project (meaning got paid and everything and I wasn't an employee) was on a tandy 1000 clor computer. Had it set up so a small ski area north of here could run their entire operation on it.

Had them as a client for about 12 or 13 years right up till when I got married and ended up without enough time to do much outside contract work.

Took them from the Tandy 1000 up to a couple of 286 boxes, then from the 286s onto 4 or 5 486s and then on up to about 10 P3's. Now they are on some real muscle boxes and are running 7 areas across the Midwest and East Coast.

Damn time flys, don't it
