Inspired by the Sponsor Chat thread.......

Isn't it amazing how similar all the scammer stories are.

They are all fucking the same, for those who have never been fucked, heres a quick guide. I'm sure 90% of the people here know this, this could be maybe for the 10% or less newbies who have never been fucked:

1. If they've said payment has gone out 2 or more times, for it to never been received, your being screwed.

2. If they whip up sob stories about their personal life on more than one occasion as an excuse to delay payment, your being screwed.

3. If you get some sort of evidence (like paypal, fed ex) after a few conversations of payment talk and it gets cancelled, especially on an insignificant amount like $80, your being screwed.

4. You will usually see #1, #2, and #3 all work together.

I know I have.

If you find yourself in this situation, just kiss your money goodbye and take the motherfucker down publically, unless its in an amount which warrants a law suit and don't say shit - just send him the court papers.

Scammers, for the most part, they're all unoriginal and the same.
Please add to the list, this should be quite entertaining.

#5. Statement that everyone else has been paid.

This has also been a recurring theme in scam stories. If you havent been paid, what does everyone else having been paid matter - AND its usually a lie.

Good post.

Can I just add a #6

6) If anyone calls them out or warns people not to deal with the scammer... the scammer makes them a scapegoat. Diverting the blame for non payment onto somebody else, while they claim that they are personally doing everything in their power to rectify the situation.

I suggested to them on that board that Paypal was a bad idea for adult transactions (genuinely trying to be helpful) and when Paypal later froze all the accounts related to "that board" for some reason (still unknown), because I'd called TheButcher out on his board scam in addition to advising against Paypal, I was accused by TheButcher of reporting him, and his members to Paypal - which I did not do.

I'll add to this pertaining to graphic design

1. Never pay ahead.....give a retainer (usually 1/2) and once the job is done to your satisfaction, THEN pay the rest.
2. If they say they are going on a holiday to Hawaii half way through the job, you are being ripped.
3. If you see them on icq but they never answer you about the job, you are being ripped
4. if they suddenly disappear from the adult boards in conjunction with #3 above, you know you are being ripped.
