I also believe property means inside the house or porch, NOT just on front yard.

I'm not sure how Florida's law reads, but here, someone can't just be on your property, they have to actually enter your residence before you can shoot them.

Many people here just say, hey, if someone is on your doorstep and your in fear for your life, shoot them outside then drag them inside your house and call the police. :agrin:

From what I understand... They have basically lighten up on having to prove your life is being threatened and there was nothing else you could do like run... it is now considered that, for example if someone was breaking into your house, that they intend to do harm and you have a right to shoot... as before from what I understand, even if they were breaking in your house, you had to prove that they were going to harm you and not just rob you... I am sure there is more to it than this but this is my general understanding of the changes...

In light of this wonderful new law, I just bought a new GLOCK 30 .45 or 11.25mm for you Europeans.

Serge and Sue were there for the momentous occassion, and now I have to wait my 5 business days.

I am now requesting a package from the State of Florida for my CWP, and since I am prior military, will get it no problem.

I love Florida. :)
